COVID-19 Update Glasgow City Boats

17th March 2020 by info@glasgowcityboats.com

Glasgow City Boats Training Academy COVID-19 Update. 17 March 2020. 1930 hrs.

Good evening,
We would like to reassure all students that Glasgow City Boats is currently still OPEN for business and we are taking all precautionary measures possible to ensure the health and safety of students and staff.
We are still planning to run our classes scheduled for this week, however we are keeping abreast of the latest developments from the Government and taking advice from NHS staff and our medical team. For the students on the upcoming first aid course we will not be practically carrying out mouth to mouth resuscitation on the cpr dolls etc.
Our classrooms and the boat are being regularly cleaned thoroughly to a high standard and hand sanitiser and soap will be made readily available. Please ensure you wash your hands thoroughly before coming to your class and on leaving the building. In our classroom, every student will be allocated their own desk space to work from.
If you, or someone who have been in close contact with, are suffering from any of the symptoms of COVID-19, including a cough or fever, or have recently returned from any of the other affected areas around the world, please do follow protocol and stay at home. Just drop us a message to let us know. If you are in any doubt about whether you should attend your class, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to re-arrange your training free of charge.
With the rapidly changing nature of the COVID-19 outbreak, information and advice from Government can change quickly. For all the latest Government information on COVID-19 and the measures the Government are taking, please visit the UK and Scottish Government websites. If and when we have to cancel classes, they will be rescheduled and remember some of our courses can be taken online too.
These are difficult times for many and as a new small business we are trying our very best to keep things running whilst keeping the health and safety of our students and staff a priority. Thank you to all our students for your continued support. Keep safe and look out for each other.
