COVID-19 UPDATE Glasgow City Boats.
We hope everyone is staying safe and coping with the current crisis.
We are still able to offer online courses that can be taken in your own home with email and phone support from our instructors.
We can offer the following courses:
VHF SRC radio online course. This is a great course for anyone who wants to learn about using a marine vhf radio. It takes around 6 hours to complete online and can be started and stopped at your leisure.
PPR (Professional practices and responsibilities) online course. This course is for anybody that is working towards commercially endorsing a boat license such as a powerboat level 2, advanced powerboat, day skipper power or sail, or yacht master power or sail. It teaches about skippering in a commercial environment, coding of boats and crew certification required. It takes around 6 hours to complete and can be started and stopped as required.
ESSENTIAL SEAMANSHIP AND NAVIGATION online course. This course aims to teach basic navigation and safety, either for a new skipper or crew, or for someone who wants to brush up on their theory skills. For anyone interested in sailing, motor boating, angling, diving and compliments on the water courses such as Powerboat level 2 or competent crew. No previous experience required for this course. This course will give you the confidence to start navigating safely.
